How it works
Find the sale price, the amount saved and the discount percentage from either a percent off or a fixed amount off.
Choose the discount type: a percentage off, or a fixed amount off. Enter the original price and the discount. The calculator shows the sale price, the amount saved, and the discount expressed as a percentage of the original price. Switching the mode keeps the original price, so you can compare “25% off” with “25 off” directly.
Formula
Percent mode: sale = price × (1 − p ÷ 100); saved = price × p ÷ 100. Amount mode: sale = price − amount; discount % = amount ÷ price × 100.
P- Original price (currency)
p- Discount rate (%)
D- Discount amount (currency)

Frequently asked questions
Should I use percent or amount mode?
Use percent mode when the markdown is advertised as a percentage (for example 30% off), and amount mode when it is a fixed reduction (for example 15 off).
Can I stack two discounts?
No. Apply one discount, note the sale price, then enter it as the new original price to see the combined effect.
How to read the result
The discount percentage always refers to the original price. A 25% discount and a discount of 25 are only equal when the original price is 100.
Limitations
One discount at a time; does not model tax, shipping, coupons, loyalty rules or price rounding.
