How it works
Generate a strong random password of a chosen length with selectable character classes.
Choose a length and whether to include uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Lowercase letters are always included. The generator picks uniformly from the allowed characters using the platform cryptographic RNG.
Formula
Password = uniform random sample from the allowed character set(s).
n- Length (characters)
charset- Allowed character classes (set)
Examples
- 16 characters, all classes onLength 16 · uppercase yes · numbers yes · symbols yesA 16-character password (random, never fixed)
Frequently asked questions
Is this secure?
It uses the platform's cryptographically secure random number generator with rejection sampling to avoid bias. The result is shown, not stored.
What length should I use?
Longer is stronger. A common recommendation is at least 16 characters; use a password manager to store it.
How to read the result
The generator guarantees at least one character from each enabled class (plus lowercase) and shuffles the result so the order is fully random.
Limitations
Random generation means no fixed output to check. Keep the result private and avoid reusing it across accounts.
