How it works
Count weekdays (Monday–Friday), weekend days, and total days between two dates.
Enter a start and end date. The calculator counts every calendar day and separates weekdays from weekend days.
Formula
Counts each day in [start, end] inclusive; business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays.
start- Start date (inclusive) (date)
end- End date (inclusive) (date)

Frequently asked questions
Are public holidays included?
No. The calculator counts only weekends. Subtract any public holidays manually for an exact business-day figure.
Are the start and end dates included?
Yes — both endpoints are counted. For elapsed days excluding the start date, subtract one.
How to read the result
Business days is the standard count for project timelines, billing cycles, and delivery estimates that exclude weekends.
